Meggie epitomizes the concept of “Airbnb host.” She welcomed us personally and showed us around the apartment and was there when we checked out and made sure we had a cab to the airport. She left snacks and a few things in the fridge to get us started. She checked in daily with recommendations. The location cannot be beat! Meggie met our cab, even talked to the taxi driver to direct him. Great recommendations for our first jet lagged evening. I was so happy I chose this apartment. Even in just three days, we felt at home, and the apartment had everything we could wish for. Very well equipped. Very comfortable bed, good WiFi. Lots of welcome snacks and drinks. We could have easily spent a few more days in Basel-such a beautiful city with more to see than we had time for. Thank you!!

Meggie is an exceptional host. She was in touch with me a few weeks before my stay in Basel, advising about best routes/taxis etc to her apartment. She met me on arrival, helped with luggage, spoke me through everything. The apartment is a beautiful historic building in a beautiful scenic location, with local shops, restaurants, cafes and bars, and yet the apartment is beautifully quiet. I was working locally but Meggie often checked in to check everything was okay, was unbelievably willing to make sure everything was running smoothly. This host deserves 15/10 for friendliness, hospitality, eagerness to make guests welcome and happy. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Basel on future visits!

Meggie is a very nice guest and provided useful information during my stay. She is also quite flexible with regard to the check-in and check-out meetings, which was much appreciated. I will likely rent this flat again for future stays in Basel if available.

Situated in one of Basels old town houses from 14th century, the flat convices by it‘s structurally imperfect architecture combined with carefully selcted designer pieces. The fridge was full of refreshments and the bed and mild temperatures are granting for a good sleep. There was literally nothing non-satisfactory about my stay at Meggies!
